Based on the company’s MEB EV platform, the Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion previews a new electric wagon for the European and North American markets.
We’re surprised and delighted by this, because America doesn’t love wagons unless they’re on stilts and pushed as SUVs.
Fitted with a 82kWh battery, the ID Space Vizzion will have a WLTP range of around 590km (367mi) or an EPA range of 483km (300mi).
The concept has a rear mounted 205kW (275hp) electric motor, but the production car can also be fitted with an electric motor for the front axle bringing total power to 265kW (355hp). The AWD version will have a 0-60mph time of 5s.
The long and sleek ID Space Vizzion concept has a drag coefficient of just 0.24, an augmented reality head up display, a 15.4″ infotainment screen, 22″ wheels, and fake leather seats which are partially made from apple juice production byproducts.
