It’s not the first EV to become World Car of the Year, but it is the one with the biggest sales aspirations.
The Volkswagen ID.4 beat the Honda E (2nd) and Toyota Yaris (3rd) to this year’s prize.
The other winners were: Mercedes-Benz S-Class (Luxury Car of the Year), Porsche 911 Turbo (Performance Car of the Year), Honda E (Urban Car of the Year), and Land Rover Defender (Design of the Year)
