The Volkswagen Golf GTI Concept previews the look and drivetrain of a 40th anniversary model that will be released in 2016.
Under the hood, there’s a more powerful 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It develops 195kW (265PS), which is 27kW (35PS) more than the Golf GTI Performance.
There’s a new front bumper, rear spoiler, rear diffuser and side sills for improved looks and more down force.
The engine and look of the GTI Clubsport concept will appear on a GTI model next year to mark the Golf’s 40th anniversary.
