Both the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer estate and aging entry level Viva hatch have been quietly dropped from the company’s UK range.
The Viva’s axing isn’t a surprise, it was meant to exit at the end of the year, and is an older vehicle built by GM for the PSA Group.
With the regular height Insignia Sports Tourer joining the soft-roader Country Tourer on the scrap heap, the Insignia range is reduced to just the liftback.
According to Autocar, UK estate buyers are opting for the cheaper and more nimble Astra Tourer instead.
