Tesla has developed a metal snake charger that automatically connects itself to a Model S sedan. Watch the video. It’s kinda cool and creepy.
At the end of 2014, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter, “We are actually working on a charger that automatically moves out from the wall & connects like a solid metal snake. For realz.”
Well the company has made that a reality. At least in prototype form. Last week the company released a video of just such a charger plugging itself into a Tesla Model S sedan.
Tesla did not say if it was looking to make a production version of the solid metal snake charger.
