The V42 Nissan Quest hoped to make inroads in the minivan market with radical, eye catching looks. Sales were slow, partially due to early quality problems.

The second-gen Nissan Quest is based on the original’s platform, but the body now has an extra door on the driver’s side. Also sold as the Mercury Villager.
Also sold as the Mercury Villager, the first Nissan Quest used a modified Maxima platform and a 3.0-liter VG V6, and was primarily made by Ford in Ohio.
Launched in 2010, the fourth generation Nissan Quest shifted from a Ford or North America-only car to become a widened, toned down Elgrand minivan.
