The 2018 BMW i8 Coupe has new interior trim, a larger 11.6kWh battery for more electric only range, and the electric motor has 9kW (12hp) more power.
The new 2018 BMW i8 Roadster has an electric fabric roof. Both it and the coupe get a more powerful electric motor, and a bigger battery too.
The I12 BMW i8 is a plug-in hybrid with a total of 266kW/357hp and 570Nm/420 lb-ft available. It has a 4.4s 0-100km/h time and a 256km/h (159mph) top speed.
