Toyota is finally giving fans the 86/GT86/Scion FR-S coupe they’ve always wanted: one with more power. But there’s just one small catch.
The Toyota 86 GRMN by Gazoo Racing will debut at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon with a more powerful 161kW/217Nm 2-liter boxer engine and more aggressive looks.
For the 2016 model, the Scion FR-S coupe has had its price cut by US$365, and a reversing camera and touchscreen audio system added as standard.
Toyota USA has tinkered with the trim, specifications, colors and pricing for its rear-wheel drive Scion FR-S coupe. Still no turbo or more power, though.
