At a ceremony with around 300 attendees, Mazda has begun production of its small CX-3 SUV at the Auto Alliance factory in Thailand.
The first generation Mazda CX-3 is based on the same SkyActiv platform as the Mazda 2 hatch, and has the same high class interior. Choice of FWD or AWD.
The Mazda CX-3 SUV has gone on sale in Japan and will only be available with the company’s 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine.
The 2-based Mazda CX-3 SUV has been unveiled in Los Angeles, and will go on sale around the world in 2015.
Based on the Mazda 2, the Mazda CX-3 is the company’s smallest SUV to date and is loaded up with the company’s SkyActiv and Mazda Connect technology.
Based on the Mazda 2/Demio, the Mazda CX-3 will debut at this year’s LA Auto Show and will be the smallest SUV yet from the Hiroshima company.
