The Subaru Impreza 5-Door Concept unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show previews the next generation Impreza hatchback, due as a 2017 model.
Subaru promises that the next generation Impreza will be a sleeker, better looking car than today’s model. It will features the company “dynamic & solid” style, but given our the disappointing transition from the WRX Concept to the VA WRX, we should all temper our expectations a bit.
If the concept is indeed based on the new Impreza, the 2017 fifth generation Impreza will have a slightly longer wheelbase by 26mm (1 inch). It’s also has 14mm or 0.6 inches less length, and is also 25mm 1 inch shorter.
The concept car is a lot wider than today’s car (by 140mm or 5.5 inches), but that’s unlikely to translate through to the production car.
The concept car rides 19-inch alloy wheels with 235/40 tires.
