The Skoda Vision IN previews new SUV for India which will go into production in 2021, and is a companion to the just unveiled Volkswagen Taigun.
Both the Taigun and Vision IN are based on an Indian specific version of the MQB-A0 platform used by the Polo and others.
The Vision IN is 4,256mm (168″) long and has a 2,671mm (105″) wheelbase. It is powered by a 1.5L turbo I4 with 110kW (147hp), a 7-speed DSG for the front wheels, and 19″ wheels.
The concept also has a vegan interior with leather alternatives made from oak, rhubarb and pineapple leaves. The dashboard has a pattern drawn from Kalamkari Indian textile printing, and there are real crystal decoration strips.
The roof lining is made from recycled plastic fibers, and a 12.3″ infotainment screen. The production version of the car will be less fancy.
