This is it, there will be no last minute reprieve, no knight in shining armor, no fairytale ending. The Dodge Viper is going away, never to be replaced.
The Connor Avenue factory, America’s smallest automobile plant, will close on August 31, 2017 with the Dodge Viper, its sole output, unable to meet safety regulations which come into effect on September 1, 2017.
Fiat Chrysler employs around 80 people at the factory to hand build the Viper. They will be offered jobs at other locations.
Goodbye V10 fire breathing snake.
