The production version of the Opel Adam S will make its debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show and will feature a 110kW 1.4-litre engine.
Under the bonnet there’s a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine cranking out 110kW (150hp) and 220Nm for the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission. Opel claims a 0 to 100km/h time of 8.5 seconds and a top speed “well over 200km/h”.
The Adam S rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, but the optional 18-inch rims with 225/35 rubber are seen in the photos above.
Externally the Opel Adam S is distinguished from regular Adams by a new front lip spoiler, side sills, rear bumper cut outs, roof spoiler; it also features LED daytime running lights and tail-lights. The red roof (seen above) is an exclusive option on the S.
On the inside the Adam S features Recaro seats, climate control and IntelliLink smartphone app connectivity. Black and red detailing is available for the leather-clad steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever, while a chequered flag headliner is also available.
The new Opel Adam S goes on sale from November, with production beginning in 2015.
