Nissan has formally unveiled its next generation NP300 Navara ute in Thailand.
The new NP300 Nissan Navara features rounder and softer styling than the outgoing D40 model, but it’s still suitably macho and rugged for its target market. The new car will be offered in king and double cab body styles, as well as both narrow and wide body variants.
As before the king cab version will feature reverse-hinged or suicide doors to allow for access to the rear seats.
Initially buyers can choose between a 2.5-litre petrol engine and a 2.5-litre turbo-diesel motor. The diesel engine will be available in two states of tune: 120kW/403Nm and 140kW/450Nm. Transmissions available will include a 6-speed manual and 7-speed automatic.
4×4 and 4×2 drivetrains will be offered, and stability control, hill descent control, hill start assistance and active braking limited slip systems will be available too.
Top spec models will be available with touchscreen satellite navigation, dual-zone climate control, steering wheel audio controls, multi-function trip computer, proximity entry key and push button start.
