The next generation Hyundai Equus will be bigger and may be powered by a turbocharged engine.
A source within Hyundai has told Auto World News, “It’s fair to say you can expect the Equus will expand.” This will give the Equus, and the Genesis that it shares a platform with, a bit more breathing room.
The source also said that the new Equus will have “some interesting powertrain options, in line with the industry trends” and then discounted the possibility of a plug-in hybrid, basically hinting that the new car will be turbocharged, possibly with a downsized engine.
