The law enforcement version of the Dodge Charger, the Pursuit, has gained all of the changes wrought on the civilian MY2015 model and then some.
Externally the model year 2015 Dodge Charger Pursuit features the same racetrack rear lights, LED driving lights and reworked proboscis. Around this is wrapped all the stuff that police demand, including flashing LED lights, spotlight and bull bars.
On the inside the revised Pursuit gains steering wheel buttons that can be programmed to operate aftermarket police gear.
For improved performance, larger 14.5-inch front and 13.8-inch rear brakes are fitted as standard. 18-inch steel wheels, load-levelling shocks, and stabiliser bars front and back are standard.
The Charger Pursuit is available with either a V6 or a V8; the latter can be paired with all-wheel drive, which important for cold weather states. The 292hp/260 lb-ft 3.6-litre V6 is said to offer 26mpg fuel economy on the highway. The more powerful 370hp/390 lb-ft 5.7-litre Hemi V8 can hit 60mph in less than six seconds. It’s also fitted with cylinder deactivation and sticker proclaiming 26mpg on the highway.
