The Chrysler Group began using the term in 1920s and it was incorporated as a proper brand in 1937. Among enthusiasts, Mopar is a generic term used to describe any vehicle from the Chrysler Group, including those of the Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, DeSoto, Ram, Eagle and Jeep brands.
