Last year Mitsubishi said that it was stopping development for Europe and leaving the continent, now (with the help of Renault) it’s staying.
Mitsubishi will continue selling its current range of cars until they reach the end of their lifecycle.
It will also keep on selling the Eclipse Cross SUV into the future because it’s available with plug-in hybrid powertrain.
From 2023 the Mitsubishi range will be boosted by two new models, both built by Renault but with “differentiation”. We don’t know if that’s just new grille, a whole new face or a complete reskin.
These models will only be available in left hand drive, so while Mitsubishi will stay in the EU, it will still be leaving the UK.
