The Mahindra KUV100 is the Indian conglomerate’s incursion in the lucrative world of small SUVs, but what do the letters and numbers in its name mean?
According to Mahindra & Mahindra, KUV stands for “kool” utility vehicle, which we guess separates it from other “sport” utility vehicles.
The 100 in its name positions the new KUV100 below the TUV300 and XUV500, both in terms of size and price.
Mahindra says that the name KUV100 should pronounced as “K-U-V one double-oh”, although we’re not sure how many people outside the industry are going to stick to that.
