An over the air update delivered to some Lexus cars in the US has bricked the Enform system, with the infotainment unit endlessly looping or crashing.
Lexus has admitted that “due to a recent update, many of our owners’ vehicle head units stopped working.”
“We are fully engaged and investigating this issue as a top priority. We are working around the clock to find a solution for this issue and we will alert you as soon as we have more information,” the brand said in a statement.
The buggy software update was first publicized online by users on a Reddit thread.
The company is now advising that affected owners should take their cars to their nearest service center where it will be fixed free of charge.
