From 2025 Jaguar will become an all electric brand, ditch SUVs, and go upmarket to challenge Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
New Jaguar Land Rover CEO Thierry Bollore (previously of Renault) has unveiled a dramatic new vision of the British car firm.
From 2025 Jaguar will only launch EVs, and by 2030 the entire Jaguar range will be electric. The brand will also move away from SUVs, a big risk given how popular they are compared to sedans and wagons.
Land Rover will embrace electrification, with its first EV in 2024, and there will be 6 EV variants available by 2030.
Jaguar will use a new bespoke EV platform, while Land Rover will use electrified versions of today’s platforms.
Jaguar Land Rover wants to be net carbon neutral by 2039.
