The Accent sedan was axed in Canada in 2019, and the hatch will see out 2020 but then will be no more. You can blame SUVs again.
Although the Accent Hatch was popular in Quebec, sales are down 59% to 1,362 in the first six months of 2020. The Venue sold 3,022 in the same time.
Since September 1994, Hyundai has sold an amazing 462,494 Accents in Canada, and the car was number 1 in the subcompact segment from 2009 to 2017.
The Accent sedan remains on sale in the US for now. The hatch was never offered here.
