Gordon Murray is back! He’s stopped designing city cars (for now), and has come up with a limited edition successor to the iconic McLaren F1.
The new T.50 from Gordon Murray Automotive has 3 seats with the driver in the center … just like the McLaren F1. Also like the F1 it has gullwing doors, and a V12 engine.
The bespoke 3.9L Cosworth V12 is a screamer, and has 488kW (654hp) at 11,500rpm, and 467Nm (344 lb-ft) at 9,000rpm. The redline is 12,100rpm.
There are no turbos, and it has RWD and a pure 6-speed manual. Dry weight is just 986kg (2,174 lb) because of its carbonfiber monocoque body and tub.
Around the size of a Porsche Boxster, it has extra downforce from its 400mm rear fan powered by a 48V electrical system.
Just 100 will be made with another 25 to made for track only use. It is priced at £2.36m (US$3.07 million) before taxes.
