The 2021 Cadillac Escalade has a much larger body for improved second and third row space, but it loses all of its bling and swagger.
The standard engine is a 6.2L V8 with 313kW (420hp) and 624Nm (460 lb-ft), 10-speed auto, and RWD or 4WD. A 3L turbo-diesel I6 is optional.
There’s also 3 screens (7.2″ driver touch panel, 14.2″ instrumentation screen, 16.9″ infotainment curved OLED touchscreen) with a total 38″ diagonal display area, Magnetic Ride Control, independent rear suspension, augmented reality sat nav, surround vision, and rear camera mirror.
Options include a Trailering Integration Package with cameras to make hitching easier, night vision, two 12.6″ rear seat entertainment screens with Android mirroring and destination suggestions that can be sent to the driver to accept or decline, 36-speaker AKG sound system, soft close doors, Super Cruise Level 2 autonomous driving with assisted lane change, adaptive air suspensions, and electronic LSD.
