The Ford Mustang Cobra Jet 1400 electric drag racer prototype will have an off the charts around 1400hp (1044kW) and 1100 lb-ft (1491Nm) powertrain.
Ford is aiming for a quarter mile in the low 8 second range at 170mph (274km/h).
The new electric Cobra Jet 1400 prototype will be used to crosspromote the Mustang Mach-E electric SUV, which will go on sale later this year.
“We’re excited to showcase what’s possible in an exciting year when we also have the all-electric Mustang Mach-E joining the Mustang family,” Dave Pericak, Global Director of Ford Icons, said.
