Ford is one of the world’s most popular car brands, but who or what is it named after? Do we even need to ask this? Surely everyone knows, right?
Ford Motor Company was established in 1903 and named after its founder, Henry Ford. The brand achieved worldwide fame and success with the Model T, which didn’t invent the modern production line, but helped to perfect it and became a huge success because of it.
Thanks to preferential voting stock, the Ford family still controls Ford Motor Company despite only owning around one percent of the company’s regular shares.
