The Ferrari FF is a shooting brake coupe/hatch with V12 power, and oodles of pace and space (for a Ferrari, anyway), but what does its name mean?
According to Ferrari, the letters FF stand for Ferrari Four. This isn’t the first time that Ferrari has used its name twice for the one car. Who can forget the Ferrari LaFerrari, after all?
The FF is so named because it seats four in comfort, and is also the first car from the house of the prancing horse to feature four wheel drive.
It also deliberately breaks away from the marque’s history of only producing cars in either coupe or convertible body styles, but without go so far as to produce a sedan or an SUV.
