This is not the first turbocharged Ferrari, but the new Ferrari 488 GTB is the brand’s new main line model and it’s powered exclusively by a 3.9-litre turbo V8.
Behind the passenger cell is a 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 492kW (670PS) and 760Nm to the rear wheels via a 7-speed transmission.
That’s good enough for a 0 to 100km/h time of 3 seconds flat. 200km/h is reached in 8.3 seconds and onwards to a top speed of over 330km/h.
Ferrari has modified the car’s look to not only differentiate it from the 458 Italia, but also to improve the car’s aerodynamic properties. The Italian brand claims that the 488 GTB not only has 50 percent more downforce, but is also the slipperiest Ferrari ever.
