Farrah Haines delivers auto parts for a living, and because of her job she clocked up around 200,000 miles per year in her 2013 Hyundai Elantra sedan.
The company verified her claims via submitted mileage claims for work, physical inspections and other methods. They then tagged along as her odometer ticked over from 999,999 miles back to zero.
Hyundai then surprised her with a brand new 2019 Hyundai Elantra sedan. They set up a drop off at a local auto shop, and had her new car and family and friends waiting there instead.
The automaker also produced a 1 million mile emblem for her, and the part is now available through the company’s catalog for any vehicle hitting the million mile mark.
