Dodge has suspended further orders for its Challenger Hellcat and Charger Hellcat models due to overwhelming demand.
According to Fiat Chrysler’s original plans, the company was only geared to produce around 5000 of the 707hp (527kW) supercharged V8s that power the Hellcats. Capacity is also apparently constrained by the many modifications made to the car.
FCA has stopped taking new orders for Hellcat models to allow the factory catch up. Allpar News expects the order book to be re-opened around August.
