Dodge is one of Fiat Chrysler’s mainstream car brands in the US with a rich history of affordable high performance cars, but where does its name come from?
Dodge was founded by the brothers Horace Elgin Dodge and John Francis Dodge. Initially the company made components for car makers, but in 1914 the firm began to produce its own vehicles under the Dodge Brothers label.
The Dodge brothers sold their company in 1925, and in 1928 it was absorbed into Chrysler.
