The Chevrolet Sonic has been axed because of slow sales and the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving the Spark, Malibu and Impala as the last non-SUVs in the range.
And those cars are on borrowed time too.
The Sonic’s place on the production line at the Orion Township factory will be taken by the not yet released electric Bolt SUV.
It will also mean there’s more capacity at the factory to make the updated 2021 Bolt.
