In order to battle upcoming SUVs from Bentley, Maserati and Rolls-Royce, Cadillac may introduce ever more expensive versions of its Escalade.
As it stands, it’s possible to price a long wheelbase Escalade past the US$100,000 mark with enough options, as ESV Premium starts at US$95,000.
“The argument for doing it with Escalade is strong and momentum is moving it higher. It’s completely logical that’s where you go with it,” Dave Caldwell, Cadillac spokesman, told Automotive News.
With sales of its sedans and coupes down, the Escalade has been keeping Cadillac afloat both in sales and in money.
Nothing has been approved yet, though.
