Founded in 1899 as an engine and car maker, Buick is one of the oldest automotive brands still in existence today. The company was taken over in 1903 and became the basis on which General Motors grew.
Introduced in 1901, the Curved Dash Olds pioneered the use of the assembly line and fixed bill of parts. Today, Buick sits in the GM hierarchy as one step below Cadillac.
