The BMW Concept Compact Sedan at the 2015 Guangzhou Auto Show previews a new front-wheel drive sedan (badged either 1-Series or 2-Series) to take on the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA.
Like other concepts, the Concept Compact Sedan has hidden door handles, frameless windows, and lovely surfacing. Unlike other BMW sedans, the concept abandons the company’s long held short front overhang on account of its transverse engine ahead of the front axle.
The Concept Compact Sedan shares its front- and all-wheel UKL platform with Mini, and the 2-Series Active Tourer, 2-Series Gran Tourer, and new X1.
The concept rides on 20-inch alloy wheels.
