Although it’s not pretty, the Bentley Bentayga sure is fast with its 6-liter twin-turbo W12 engine. At least it isn’t a facsimile of the EXP 9 concept.
The Bentayga is powered by a twin-turbo 6-liter W12 gas engine with both direct and port injection. A total of 600hp/447kW and 663 lb-ft/900Nm is on hand, and its delivered to the ground via an 8-speed auto an all-wheel drive.
The hulking beast of a SUV can do 0-100km/h in 4.1 seconds and 0-60mph in 4 seconds. Top speed is 187mph / 301km/h. With cylinder deactivation and auto engine stop/start, fuel economy is 12.59L/100km or 18.7mpg in the combined cycle.
Bentley has engineered the Bentayga to go off-road, with an optional Response Off-Road Setting for dynamic drive system
The Bentayga has electric power steering, traction control, hill descent control, a 48V power system, body roll control, 20-inch alloy wheels, and self-levelling multi-mode air suspension all standard.
Options include Mulliner customization, up to 22-inch wheels, and 10.7-inch rear seat tablet monitors.
