The Audi e-tron Quattro concept previews not only a new “coupe” SUV for Audi, but also its first full scale all-electric vehicle due in 2018.
Despite being a large SUV, the e-tron Quattro concept has a coefficient of drag of 0.25, below many sedans. The all-electric drivetrain has three motors generating a total of 370kW.
A lithium-ion battery allows for a driving range of 500km/310mi.
The full-scale production EV SUV is tipped to be called the Q6. Unlike the Tesla Model X, the e-tron Quattro concept and Q6 will have conventional doors, not falcon wing units.
