Acura has announced pricing, as well as some specification details, for its new made-in-Ohio TLX sedan.
Sized between the larger TL and smaller TSX, the new Acura TLX is replacing the TL now and the TSX not too far off into the future.
The new TLX is available with two engine choices: a 206hp (153kW) 2.4-litre 4-cylinder and a 290hp (216kW) 3.5-litre V6. The 4-cylinder is paired exclusively to a 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, while the V6 is hooked up to a 9-speed conventional automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and “PAWS super handling” all-wheel drive is optional on the V6.
Standard features on all TLX models include LED headlights, proximity entry key, push button start, reversing camera, hill start assistance.
Both 4-cylinder and V6 TLX models can be upgraded with a Technology pack, while V6 TLX buyers also have the option of a top-of-the-range Advance pack.
Available tech includes automated emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, active cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and electric seat adjustment.
Top-spec models will also have navigation, a high resolution nav/entertainment display screen, a high-res control 7-inch touchscreen, HD Radio, and a 455W 10-speaker sound system.
