Acura could enter the small SUV fray with a model based on the Honda HR-V.
Speaking to Wards Auto, John Mendel, an executive vice president of Honda USA, said that the company is looking for “white space” in the crossover category.
He admitted that new SUV to slot in under the RDX is “potentially the only place [Acura] could go” and that the brand was actively studying the idea.
Given how (surprisingly) successful the Buick Encore has been and the lacklustre response to the ILX sedan, this makes sense.
