The Scion FR-S is dead, along with the rest of the youth brand. Long live the Toyota 86, which now has more power and revised gear ratios.
The facelifted 86 now has a more aggressive lower air intake, revised bumpers, new headlights, LED taillights, new alloy wheel designs, and 86 logos for the front fender and headlamps.
The 2-liter boxer 4-cylinder engine gets a slight power and torque bump. Power is up 5hp (4kW) to 205hp (153kW), while torque is up 156 lb-ft (212Nm). There’s also gear ratio changes for the 6-speed manual and a hill start assistance.
