Fiat Tipo will be sold in Mexico as the 2017 Dodge Neon

The new Fiat Tipo/Aegea sedan will be sold in Mexico as the Dodge Neon, and will be shipped over completely built-up from Turkey.

Tofas, a joint venture between Turkish conglomerate Koc Holding and Fiat, is at the present time the sole global source of the Fiat Tipo/Aegea.

At the recent Geneva Motor Show, Cengiz Eroldu, CEO of Tofas, confirmed to Turkish media that “we will start exporting the Aegea sedan to Mexico this year” and that it will be sold there as the Dodge Neon.

It’s not known if the Mexican Dodge Neon will be lightly restyled to incorporate the brand’s signature crosshair grille. The Tipo/Neon will be the second Turkey-built vehicle sold in North America, with the company exporting the Fiat Doblo for sale in the US, Mexico and Canada as the Ram ProMaster City.
