The successor to the Veyron, the Bugatti Chiron, has been unveiled and only 500 of the €2.4 million coupes will be built. Ever.
Powered by a 8-liter W16 gas engine with larger turbos, the Chiron boasts 1,500hp (1,119kW) and 1,180 lb-ft (1,600Nm) berween 2,000 and 6,000rpm. Top speed under controlled conditions is said to be 261mph (420km/h), and 0 to 100km/h takes under 2.5 seconds.
More aggressive than the Veyron it replaces, the Chiron has a new carbonfibre monocoque and chassis.
The Chiron will be go on sale in the fall of 2016. Out of the 500 that will be made, Bugatti has orders for a third of the production run.
