Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo: Self driving lounge on wheels

The Mercedes-Benz Vision Tokyo is an autonomous minivan concept with a fuel cell drivetrain designed for megacities, like Tokyo.


Mercedes-Benz says that the Vision Tokyo is designed with Generation Z in mind. As a generation that prefers electronics over driving, the Vision Tokyo can drive itself, while its passenger configure the lounge like interior to face each other.

The Vision Tokyo is powered by a hybrid hydrogen fuel cell drivetrain that can has a total range of 980km (609mi), with 190km (118mi) of EV range and 790km (491mi) of fuel cell range.

The concept rides on 26-inch alloy wheels, and has built in LED lighting inside and out that can change color.
