Put on sale in 1998, the Rover 75 was a front-wheel drive luxury sedan with 4-cylinder and V6 engines. Funded by BMW, the 75 was developed largely in-house.
After the 75 went on sale, Rover began rebranding its existing smaller vehicles as the 25 and 45.
Once independent of BMW, MG Rover developed a rear-wheel drive version powered by a Ford 4.6-litre V8.
