The XV60 Lexus ES has turned out to be milder than the teaser image had lulled into thinking, but this is a new drivetrain option for some markets.
At the front, the facelifted XV60 Lexus ES features a bolder spindle grille and more radically styled headlights with the company’s signature L-shaped LED driving lights.
Inside, the Lexus Remote Touch controller gains Enter buttons. In the instrument panel there’s a 4.2-inch information display. As expected there are new colors to choose from, and alloy wheels too, including optional 20-inch wheels on non-hybrid variants.
To go along with the new face, the ES will gain an entry-level ES200 model in China, Russia and Taiwan powere by a 2-liter direct-injection 4-cylinder engine. Power, torque and mileage figures have yet to be released.
The other drivetrain options, including the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder ES250, 4-cylinder hybrid ES300h and 3.5-liter V6 ES350 will continue as before.
