The second generation Audi R8 has been revealed, with details given about three guises: V10, V10 Plus and all-electric e-tron.
The second-gen Audi R8 will debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, where it be showcased in V10, V10 Plus and e-tron forms. (The photo gallery above only contains photos of the V10 and V10 Plus; Audi has yet to reveal the look of the e-tron.)
Both the V10 and V10 Plus feature a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine mounted behind the driver and passenger. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
According to Audi, the reworked AWD system is capable sending up to 100 percent of the power and torque to any axle.
Based on the Lamborghini Huracan, the new R8 uses a Audi Space Frame that makes extensive use of aluminium and carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP), which has resulted in weight loss of around 50kg.
