The Kia Sportspace wagon concept car, which debuts at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, previews the look of the next generation Kia Optima sedan.
It’s clear from the Sportspace concept, as well as earlier spy images, that the next generation Kia Optima sedan will be an evolution of the current car.
Take away the oversized alloy wheels and flared rear arches, and you have the basic look of the next Optima. It’s expected that the new sedan will feature a six side window layout, but elements such as the front- and rear-end design are likely to be related to both the current car and this concept.
This concept suggests that Kia is actively considering adding a wagon variant to the Optima range, which should prove popular in Europe.
Reports indicate that the new car will be available with a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder engine, as well as a 2-litre turbocharged petrol motor, as well as a diesel engine.
