It’s still very recognizable as an NX, but Lexus has smoothed out the styling, given it a new platform, and expanded the hybrid options.
Lexus has really nailed its styling lately, and made its spindle grille actually attractive. (See our side by side comparison for proof of just how much better the NX looks.)
The new NX rides on a TNGA platform that’s shared with the Toyota RAV4, and will have the same hybrid options as the RAV4: a 2.5L hybrid, and the 2.5L plug-in hybrid.
The one unique option for the NX is a 2.4L turbo I4, which replaces the first-gen NX’s 2L turbo I4.
The cabin is now available with a huge touchscreen infotainment system (so the awful Remote Touch controller is gone), and there’s now also a fully digital instrumentation display too.
