You don’t need a supercharged V8 with over 500hp (380kW) to go offroading, but Land Rover won’t stop you from trying in the new Defender.
The new Defender V8 models have a 5L supercharged V8 with 386kW (518hp) and 625Nm (461 lb-ft). An 8-speed auto and AWD are standard.
Land Rover says the Defender V8 has a 0-100km/h time of 5.2s (or 0-60mph in 4.9s), and a top speed of 240km/h (149mph).
The supercharged V8 is available in both the 90 (SWB 2-door) and 110 (LWB 4-door) models.
