The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder has found its rugged roots with new squarer styling, but it isn’t going back to its body on frame days.
The new Pathfinder will be available only (at first) with a 3.5L V6 with 212kW (284hp) and 351Nm (259 lb-ft). Its fitted to a new 9-speed auto, not a crap CVT like before. Unlike the Highlander, there’s no hybrid model for now.
FWD is standard, but the AWD models now have a 7-position Drive and Terrain Mode Selector. Nissan claims the Pathfinder has best in class towing, and is rated for a maximum of 6,000lb.
The Pathfinder is available with either 7 seats (captain’s chairs in the middle row) or 8 seats.
Available features include a 10.8-inch head up display, and 12.3-inch digital instruments.
